Pre-Requisites:
It’s better to charge your phone to at least 50% to avoid interruption.
This process will wipe your phone data. Hence take backup of all the important stuff before going further.
To detect the phone on PC, install the latest official OnePlus USB drivers.
Also enable USB debugging mode in your phone settings.
It is necessary to unlock the bootloader on the OnePlus 6T before your flash any ROM.
Also, flash the latest official TWRP on your phone.
Get root access before moving ahead.

Steps to install LineageOS 17 ROM on OnePlus 6T:
Step 1: Download LineageOS 17 ROM. Step 2: Download GApps. Note: Do NOT extract these zip files. Step 3: Switch off your OnePlus 6T and restart it into TWRP recovery mode. Step 4: For doing so, press and hold the Volume Up + Power button simultaneously. Leave both the keys as soon as you see the fastboot screen. Step 5: Then use Volume keys to select the Recovery option and press the Power key to confirm it. Note: If you are not able to boot the phone into recovery, use the Reboot Recovery app from Google Play Store. This is how you can boot OnePlus 6T into TWRP recovery mode. Step 6: Once you enter TWRP, take Nandroid backup. Remember that this Nandroid backup is the backup of your entire Android OS. Step 7: After taking backup, tap on the Wipe button. Step 8: Now swipe right to initiate the wiping process. Note: This step will wipe out your phone data. Hence make sure to take backup before this step. Step 9: Go back to the main screen and again click on Wipe. Step 10: Then tap the Advanced Wipe option. Step 11: Then select Dalvik / ART cache, System, Data, and cache partitions. Note: Do NOT tick any other partitions other than the mentioned ones. Step 12: Simply swipe right to begin the wiping process. Let’s begin the OnePlus 6T LineageOS 17 ROM installation process now. Step 13: To do so, click Install from the main screen. This will show you all the files and folders present on your phone storage. Step 14: Just go to the LineageOS 17 ROM zip file which you’ve downloaded earlier and select it. On the next screen, swipe right to start the OnePlus 6T Lineage OS ROM installation process. The flashing will take few minutes to finish. Upon completion, a successful message will appear as shown below. Step 15: Similarly install the Google Apps (GApps) zip package file. Step 16: That’s it, folks. Restart your phone from Reboot > System and enjoy the new Android 10 update on the OnePlus 6T. Note: The first boot will take more time to start than usual.
